Melanin is a language! pronounced meh-luh-nuhn
We must learn to speak it freely, frequently and fluently.
We are highly pigmented, which means we contain a high concentration of MELANIN in our skin. This high volume of MELANIIN creates a safe space for Black and Brown people to be authentic and vulnerable, while living in their melanated skin.

Protection from Reactive Oxygen Species
Prevention of stomach ulcers (play a role in protecting our gut)
Contribute to the reduction of inflammation
May attribute to a healthy immune system
